Mission Statement for Blind Cat Chocolate: Our mission is to make delicious, craft chocolate in order to raise money for cat and animal rescue organizations. We will do this using ethically sourced, planet friendly ingredients and packaging.

Blind Cat Chocolate is named after my soul kitty - Xel. She was a rescue and I honor her with this business. We are active cat/kitten fosters for our local shelter. We share our home with our 4 fur babies - Squeak, Penelope Pie and Freddy.

Our chocolate is made with ethically sourced ingredients and packaged in plant based, compostable materials and recyclable paper. Delicious chocolate should not have a negative environmental impact.

July Featured Rescue

Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue (RMFR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1982 with the mission to care for homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected cats. At RMFR, they partner with high risk shelters throughout the nation to reduce euthanasia rates and provide shelter for special cat populations, including those diagnosed as FIV+ and FeLV+. They also intake cats from the local community, including owner surrenders and strays.

Today, RMFR is a limited-intake, safe-haven, free-roaming shelter with the capacity to have up to 125 cats and kittens on-site.

Internationally Award-Winning Craft Chocolate

Blind Cat Chocolate is proud to create award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate that reflects our passion for exceptional flavor, ethical sourcing, and meticulous craftsmanship. Our chocolates have been recognized in two of the world's most respected international craft chocolate competitions.

At the Academy of Chocolate Awards, where more than 1,400 entries from artisan chocolate makers around the world compete each year, Blind Cat Chocolate earned a Gold Award for our 72% Organic Single Origin Dark Chocolate and a Silver Award for our 70% Organic Dark Chai Spice Chocolate. We are proud to be the only Montana chocolate maker to receive Academy of Chocolate recognition.

Our commitment to innovation and quality was recognized again at the 2025 Craft Chocolate Challenge, an international competition where each chocolate maker may enter only two bars. Both of our entries received awards—a Silver Award for our Ethiopian Spice Dark Chocolate and a Bronze Award for our Milk Chocolate with Espresso—making Blind Cat Chocolate the only competitor in the competition to have both entered bars earn awards.

These international honors reflect our dedication to sourcing exceptional cacao, crafting chocolate with precision and care, and creating unforgettable flavors. Every bar is made with the belief that exceptional chocolate can do exceptional good, supporting animal rescue while delivering a truly world-class chocolate experience.
